The iconic WrestleMania, the pinnacle event of professional wrestling, will mark a historic milestone in 2027 by taking its spectacle outside of North America for the first time. The city of Riyadh, in Saudi Arabia, will host this grand event, as part of the “Riyadh Season”. Since its inception in 1985, WrestleMania has been held exclusively in North American cities. This decision represents a bold and strategic step to expand the global reach of WWE.The official announcement comes after the leak of a video on Snapchat, now deleted, where Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, confirmed the news.This is an opportunity to show the world that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner and excites fans around the world.

WWE has been holding events in Saudi Arabia since 2018, thanks to a billion-dollar deal that includes holding multiple events in the country for a decade. Next year’s Royal Rumble will be the first of WWE’s “Big Four” events to be held in Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, WrestleMania 42 will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18th and 19th, 2026, marking the second consecutive time that Las Vegas hosts this event.WrestleMania is already the most important date on the wrestling calendar, and this announcement marks a significant moment in our partnership with WWE.
