WrestleMania Expands: Saudi Arabia to Host the Spectacle in 2027

Attention wrestling fanatics! WrestleMania, WWE’s flagship event, will break boundaries in 2027 by being held for the first time outside of North America. The “Showcase of the Immortals” will move to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the “Riyadh Season” events. Since its inception in 1985, WrestleMania has been held in North American cities. However, the vision of expanding this grand event globally has come to fruition.

This is an opportunity to show the world that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner of the world and excites fans everywhere.

The official announcement comes after the revelation by Turki Alalshikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia, who anticipated the news through a video on Snapchat.

WrestleMania is already the most important date on the wrestling calendar, and this announcement marks a significant moment in our partnership with WWE. Our vision is to elevate this iconic event to unprecedented heights and deliver a WrestleMania like never before seen.

Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia
WWE has been holding events in Saudi Arabia since 2018, thanks to a billion-dollar deal that guarantees multiple shows in the country for ten years. Next year’s Royal Rumble will be the first of WWE’s “Big Four” events to be held in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, WrestleMania 42 will be held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19, 2026, marking the second consecutive time that Las Vegas hosts the event.
