In a historic move, WrestleMania, the pinnacle event of professional wrestling, will leave North America for the first time. The 2027 edition of the “Showcase of the Immortals” will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the “Riyadh Season”. Since its inception in 1985, WrestleMania had been held exclusively in North American cities. The initiative to take the event international, anticipated by Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE’s Chief Creative Officer, will finally materialize.

The official announcement came after the leak of a video on Snapchat, now deleted, where Turki Alalshikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia, revealed the news.

The collaboration between WWE and Saudi Arabia dates back to 2018, with a billion-dollar deal that includes multiple events in the country over a decade. Next year’s Royal Rumble will be the first of WWE’s “Big Four” events to be held in Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, WrestleMania 42 will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19, 2026, marking the second consecutive time the city will host the event.
