WrestleMania Goes International: Saudi Arabia to Host in 2027

The iconic WrestleMania, the most important event in professional wrestling, will break boundaries in 2027 by being held for the first time outside of North America. The city of Riyadh, in Saudi Arabia, will host the “Showcase of the Immortals” as part of the “Riyadh Season” initiative. Since its creation in 1985, WrestleMania has taken place exclusively in North American cities. This decision represents a significant milestone for WWE, which seeks to expand its global reach.

This is an opportunity to show the world that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner of the world and excites fans everywhere.

The official announcement comes after the dissemination of a video on Snapchat, now deleted, where Turki Alalshikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia, confirmed the news.

WrestleMania is already the most important date on the wrestling calendar, and this announcement marks a significant moment in our partnership with WWE. Our vision is to elevate this iconic event to unprecedented heights and deliver a WrestleMania like never before seen.

The relationship between WWE and Saudi Arabia dates back to 2018, with a $1 billion agreement that contemplates the realization of multiple events in the country over a decade. The next Royal Rumble, in 2025, will be the first of WWE’s “Big Four” PLEs to be held on Saudi territory.

Meanwhile, WrestleMania 42 will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19, 2026, marking the second consecutive edition of the event in the city.
