WrestleMania Expands: Saudi Arabia to Host the Spectacle in 2027

The iconic WrestleMania, the pinnacle event of professional wrestling, will break geographical barriers in 2027 by being held for the first time outside of North America. The “Showcase of the Immortals” will move to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the “Riyadh Season”, marking a milestone in WWE history. Since its inception in 1985, WrestleMania had been held exclusively in North American cities. However, WWE’s global vision, led by Chief Creative Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, has made the dream of bringing the event to new territories a reality.

This is an opportunity to show the world that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner of the world and excites fans everywhere.

The official announcement comes after confirmation from Turki Alalshikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia, who anticipated the news in a live video on Snapchat.

WrestleMania is already the most important date on the wrestling calendar, and this announcement marks a significant moment in our partnership with WWE. We deeply respect the legacy of WrestleMania and the global prestige it holds among wrestling fans worldwide. WWE has been holding events in Saudi Arabia since 2018, thanks to a billion-dollar deal with the Kingdom that guarantees multiple shows for ten years. The next Royal Rumble, in 2025, will be the first of the four main WWE events to be held in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, WrestleMania 42 will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19, 2026, marking the second consecutive time the city will host the event.
