WrestleMania Expands: Saudi Arabia to Host the Event in 2027
For the first time in history, WrestleMania, the pinnacle event of professional wrestling, will take place outside of North America. In 2027, the “Showcase of the Immortals” will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the “Riyadh Season” events. The announcement was made on Friday by WWE.
Since its inception in 1985, WrestleMania had always been held in North American cities. Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE’s Chief Creative Officer, had hinted at the possibility of the company’s most important event traveling abroad, and now that vision is materializing.The official announcement comes a few days after Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, mentioned WrestleMania’s arrival in the country in a live Snapchat video, which was later deleted.This is an opportunity to show the world that WWE is a global brand that reaches every corner of the planet and excites fans everywhere.

WWE has been holding events in Saudi Arabia since 2018, thanks to a billion-dollar deal with the Kingdom, which includes the realization of multiple events in the country for ten years. Next year’s Royal Rumble will be the first of the WWE’s four “Big Four” events to be held in Saudi Arabia. WrestleMania 42 will be held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19, 2026. It will be the second consecutive time that Las Vegas hosts WrestleMania.WrestleMania is already the most important date on the wrestling calendar, and this announcement marks a significant moment in our partnership with WWE.
