The landscape in WWE has changed radically. After weeks of speculation about Seth Rollins’ future following his match at Crown Jewel, Rollins’ actions had immediate consequences.
Bron Breakker, with a shocking intervention at the end of “Raw”, marked the beginning of an unexpected turn. This break was even more surprising considering that Rollins had praised Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Paul Heyman at the beginning of the show.
“Raw” Results from October 13th
- Dominik Mysterio, Intercontinental Champion, defeated Penta by count-out.
- Rhea Ripley defeated Kairi Sane by count-out.
- Bronson Reed defeated Jimmy Uso by count-out.
- Bayley and Lyra Valkyria defeated Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez by count-out.
- CM Punk defeated LA Knight and Jey Uso.
The End of The Vision?
Rollins opened the show with a promo highlighting Breakker, Reed, and Heyman, but omitted the ultimatum Heyman had issued before Crown Jewel. Rollins, instead, reaffirmed his position, which led to the unexpected betrayal by Breakker and Reed.
The Vision’s separation occurred immediately after CM Punk won a match to become the number one contender for Rollins’ World Heavyweight Championship. Heyman, apparently, backed Reed and Breakker after the attack on Rollins, leaving the Visionary in a precarious situation.
Rollins’ situation is complicated with adversaries at every turn, putting his title at risk. The alliance between Breakker and Reed, though surprising, could be a key factor in the future.
Other highlights of “Raw”
Dominik Mysterio continues to defend his Intercontinental Championship in a cunning manner. In his match against Penta, he distracted the timekeeper, used the hammer, and applied a 619 followed by a Frog Splash to retain his title.
The tension between The Kabuki Warriors is evident. Asuka and Kairi Sane had an altercation before Sane’s match against Rhea Ripley, which Sane lost. Asuka retaliated by attacking Ripley and ending the scene with Sane.
In the last 48 hours, Reed and Ripley have performed impeccably for their fans.
Bayley seems to have a split personality. Lyra Valkyria needed Bayley’s most aggressive side to achieve victory.
