Stephanie McMahon Headlines WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2026

In an emotional surprise during the WrestlePalooza broadcast on Saturday, Stephanie McMahon was announced as the first inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame for the year 2026. The announcement was made by the legendary Undertaker, a Hall of Fame member, who made a special appearance with his iconic “American Badass” persona.
The Undertaker, arriving at the ring on his motorcycle, asked McMahon: “Are you ready?”. Then, he announced the news that would make her the first honoree of the 2026 class. Stephanie McMahon, daughter of former WWE chairman Vince McMahon, held multiple roles in the company from 1998 to 2023. She began as an account executive and receptionist in 1998, and quickly integrated into the on-screen action in 1999, participating in her father’s rivalry with The Undertaker. In addition to her role as a wrestler, where she won the WWF Women’s Championship in the year 2000, she also stood out behind the scenes. She held important roles such as director, senior vice president of creative writing, executive vice president of creative development and operations, and brand director. McMahon continued to make regular appearances and was involved in memorable storylines. One of them transcended fiction when she married professional wrestler Paul “Triple H” Levesque in 2003. In 2019, her appearances became less frequent due to her increasing role in the management of the company. She was appointed interim chair and chief executive officer following an internal investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct against her father. Although she resigned from her position in 2023, she has continued to make sporadic appearances for the company. The 2026 Hall of Fame event is scheduled to be held during WrestleMania weekend in Las Vegas, in April.
