Stephanie McMahon, First Inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame 2026
Former WWE co-CEO and chairwoman Stephanie McMahon has been announced as the first inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2026.
The news took McMahon by surprise during the WrestlePalooza broadcast on Saturday, when The Undertaker, a WWE Hall of Famer, made a special appearance to make the announcement.
The Undertaker, with his “American Badass” persona and riding his motorcycle, arrived at the ring where McMahon was present. After asking her “Are you ready?”, The Undertaker informed her that she would be the first to be inducted in 2026.
Stephanie, daughter of former WWE chairman Vince McMahon, held multiple roles in the company from 1998 to 2023.
She started as an account executive and receptionist in 1998, and in 1999 she made her first on-screen appearance, involved in the rivalry between Vince McMahon and The Undertaker.
In addition to fighting and winning the WWF Women’s Championship in the year 2000, she also worked behind the scenes as a director, senior vice president of creative writing, executive vice president of creative development and operations, and brand director.
McMahon continued making frequent appearances and participated in some featured storylines. One of these storylines came to fruition when she began a relationship and married professional wrestler Paul “Triple H” Levesque in 2003.
In 2019, her appearances became more sporadic as her behind-the-scenes role expanded. She was named interim president and CEO following an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct against her father. She resigned from the position in 2023, but has made occasional appearances for the company despite not holding a position in WWE.
The 2026 Hall of Fame is scheduled to take place during WrestleMania weekend in Las Vegas in April.
