Stephanie McMahon Headlines the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2026

Former WWE co-CEO and chairwoman Stephanie McMahon has been announced as the first inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2026. The news came as a surprise to McMahon, revealed by Hall of Famer The Undertaker during the WrestlePalooza broadcast on Saturday.

The Undertaker made a special appearance with his iconic “American Badass” persona, arriving at the ring on his motorcycle. There, he informed McMahon of the news, asking him “Are you ready?”

Stephanie, daughter of former WWE chairman Vince McMahon, held multiple roles in the company between 1998 and 2023. She started as an account executive and receptionist in 1998, before her on-screen debut in 1999, involved in her father’s rivalry with The Undertaker.

In addition to her appearances in the ring, Stephanie was also a wrestler, winning the WWF Women’s Championship in 2000. At the same time, she held important backstage roles, including director, senior vice president of creative writing, executive vice president of creative development and operations, and chief brand officer.

McMahon continued to make frequent appearances and participated in memorable storylines. One of them even materialized in real life, when she married professional wrestler Paul “Triple H” Levesque in 2003.

In 2019, McMahon’s appearances became less frequent as her behind-the-scenes role expanded. She was named interim president and CEO following an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct against her father. Although she resigned from her position in 2023, she has made sporadic appearances for the company.

The 2026 Hall of Fame ceremony is scheduled to be held during WrestleMania weekend in Las Vegas, in April.
