WWE legend John Cena began his farewell tour on January 6th at the debut of “Monday Night Raw” on Netflix. The announcement of his retirement, scheduled for 2025, has marked the beginning of a series of matches that will culminate an iconic career. In July 2024, Cena announced that he would participate in 30 to 40 matches in 2025, his last year in the ring. “Monday Night Raw” final – November 17th
The Madison Square Garden, the scene of some of Cena’s most emblematic moments, was the chosen venue for his last “Monday Night Raw”. In this event, where Cena won the 2008 Royal Rumble and his first WWE championship at WrestleMania XX, he was interrupted by Dominik Mysterio, who was looking for a rematch for the Intercontinental championship. Mysterio, with the help of Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh, attacked Cena, but Sheamus and Rey Mysterio came to his defense. The match culminated with the victory of Cena, Sheamus and Rey Mysterio in a tag team match.
“Monday Night Raw” in Boston – November 10th
In his home state of Massachusetts, Cena made history once again. He faced Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship. Despite Mysterio’s efforts, Cena managed to prevail, winning the match and becoming a WWE Grand Slam champion.
Crown Jewel – October 11th
In a match that marked the end of one of WWE’s most prominent rivalries, Cena defeated AJ Styles in Perth, Australia. Cena paid tribute to other wrestlers, and Styles to Shawn Michaels. The match culminated in an emotional embrace between the two, and the audience’s gratitude.
Wrestlepalooza – September 20th
