The wrestling world is preparing to say goodbye to one of its most emblematic figures. John Cena, the iconic WWE wrestler, has begun his farewell tour, a journey that will culminate in his last match on December 13th at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.
Cena, who has participated part-time since 2018, announced in July 2024 that he plans to fight between 30 and 40 matches in 2025 to close his final stage.
Cena’s opponent in his final match will be determined through the “The Last Time Is Now” tournament.

“Monday Night Raw” Final – November 17th
Madison Square Garden, the scene of some of Cena’s most iconic moments, was the chosen venue for his latest appearance on “Monday Night Raw.” There, Cena was interrupted by Dominik Mysterio, who was seeking a rematch for the Intercontinental Championship that Cena had taken from him on November 10th. Mysterio, with the help of Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh, attacked Cena, but Sheamus and Rey Mysterio came to his defense. Together, they challenged Mysterio, Bálor, and McDonagh to a six-man tag team match, where Cena, Sheamus, and Rey Mysterio emerged victorious.
“Monday Night Raw” in Boston – November 10th
In his home state of Massachusetts, Cena made history by defeating Dominik Mysterio to become champion. With this victory, Cena became the latest WWE wrestler to be a Grand Slam champion, having held all the major WWE titles.
Crown Jewel – October 11th
In one of the most anticipated matches, Cena defeated AJ Styles in Perth, Australia. Cena paid tribute to several WWE superstars, while Styles imitated Shawn Michaels. Cena emerged victorious, leaving the crowd chanting “Thank you, Cena”.
Wrestlepalooza – September 20th
Cena faced Brock Lesnar, but Lesnar proved to be too much for him. However, the crowd applauded Cena’s efforts, and he is likely to have another chance against Lesnar in their remaining matches.
