John Cena Headlines WWE Premium Event in Indianapolis

The renowned wrestler John Cena will lead a WWE Premium Live Event next month in Indianapolis, which will be broadcast through ESPN’s direct-to-consumer service. Dinner will share the quadrilateral with figures of the stature of Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, CM Punk and Drew McIntyre in the inaugural event of WWE’s Wrestlepalooza, scheduled for Saturday, September 20. The event will start at 7 p.m. ET at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Cody Rhodes holds the Undisputed WWE Title, while Rollins is the World Heavyweight Champion and Lynch is the Intercontinental Women’s Champion. Furthermore, this will be Cena’s last appearance in Indianapolis as a wrestler.

This event marks the beginning of the new five-year agreement between WWE and ESPN, which will bring Premium Live Events to ESPN platforms. ESPN’s direct-to-consumer service will premiere on Thursday, and subscribers to the unlimited plan will have access to all WWE Premium Live Events as part of their package.

“On September 20, WWE and ESPN are joining forces for a must-see event that will mark the beginning of our new partnership,” said Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE’s Chief Content Officer, in a statement.

Indianapolis hosted the 2025 Royal Rumble, an event that set an attendance record at the nearby Lucas Oil Stadium. Tickets for the event will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. ET. Presales will be available on Thursday. Additionally, two more events will be broadcast on ESPN platforms this year: Crown Jewel on October 11th and Survivor Series in San Diego on November 29th.
