Ross is widely recognized for his outstanding career in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) from 1993 to 2013. His iconic phrases have transcended popular culture, solidifying him as one of the most beloved voices in the history of wrestling. His expression “My God” or “By God”, pronounced with his distinctive Oklahoma accent after a shocking moment, is perhaps his most emblematic phrase. Other memorable phrases like “He’s broken in half” and “That man has a family” are also widely recognized and used in various contexts. Ross is a fervent follower and promoter of the American football team Oklahoma Sooners, and has often accompanied wrestlers to the ring with the school anthem, “Boomer Sooner”.
