Real American Freestyle (RAF) Wrestling joins World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) for a moving video tribute dedicated to the late commissioner Hulk Hogan. This tribute will be broadcast during RAF’s inaugural event this Saturday. Hogan, a key figure in the popularization of the then World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in the 1980s, passed away on July 24th at the age of 71. The event, which will be held at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, will be broadcast via FOX Nation.
Bronstein, also CEO of RAF and co-founder with Hogan, highlighted the significant influence that the legendary wrestler will continue to have on the company. The relationship between RAF and WWE is cordial, evidenced by WWE’s participation with 10% of Real American Beer, RAF’s main sponsor, also co-founded by Bronstein.I was very proud. He has been a great friend, mentor, and business partner. His voice will be very present, and this league will find unique ways to incorporate him.
Chad Bronstein, CEO of RAF
The event will feature the participation of Kurt Angle, Olympic gold medalist and one of the biggest WWE stars in the early 2000s, who will offer commentary. Bronstein revealed that Hogan suggested Angle’s participation. Jimmy Hart, former WWE manager, and John Layfield, former world champion, will also be involved in Saturday’s show. The main event will see Wyatt Hendrickson facing Mostafa Aly Elsayed Gabr Elders, from Egypt. Other men’s matches include Bo Nickal against Jacob Cardenas; Yianni Diakomihalis against Bajrang Punia; Darrion Caldwell against Real Woods; and Austin Gomez against Lance Palmer. In the women’s category, the matches between Kennedy Blades and Alejandra Rivera, and Sarah Hildebrandt against Zeltzin Hernandez will be held.We don’t compete with them. They support us a lot. There is no competition because they are two totally different groups. The same goes for the UFC: we are not competition.
