John Cena Headlines WWE Event in Indianapolis Next Month

The renowned wrestler John Cena will be the main figure of a WWE Premium Live event that will be broadcast next month in Indianapolis via ESPN’s direct-to-consumer streaming service. In Wrestlepalooza, WWE’s inaugural event, Cena will be accompanied by Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, CM Punk, and Drew McIntyre. The event is scheduled for Saturday, September 20th at 7 p.m. ET at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Rhodes is the undisputed WWE champion, Rollins is the World Heavyweight Champion, and Lynch is the Intercontinental Women’s Champion. This event will mark Cena’s last appearance in Indianapolis. This event is the first within the new five-year agreement between WWE and ESPN, which will bring the Premium Live events to ESPN platforms. ESPN’s direct-to-consumer service premieres on Thursday, and subscribers to the unlimited plan will have access to all WWE Premium Live events as part of their package.

On September 20th, WWE and ESPN join forces for a must-see event that marks the beginning of our new partnership.

Indianapolis hosted the 2025 Royal Rumble, which set an attendance record for the event at the nearby Lucas Oil Stadium. Entries for the event will go on sale on Friday at 10 a.m. ET. Presales will be available on Thursday. Two more events this year, Crown Jewel on October 11th and Survivor Series in San Diego on November 29th, will also be broadcast on ESPN platforms.
