John Cena to Headline WWE Premium Event in Indianapolis
The renowned wrestler John Cena will lead a WWE Premium Live Event next month in Indianapolis, which will be broadcast through ESPN’s direct-to-consumer service. This inaugural event, called Wrestlepalooza, will take place on Saturday, September 20th and will feature prominent figures such as Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, CM Punk, and Drew McIntyre. The event will begin at 7 p.m. ET at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Cody Rhodes, current undisputed WWE champion, Seth Rollins, World Heavyweight Champion, and Becky Lynch, Women’s Intercontinental Champion, will also be part of the event. For Cena, this will be his last appearance as a wrestler in Indianapolis. This event marks the beginning of the new five-year agreement between WWE and ESPN, which will bring Premium Live events to ESPN platforms. ESPN’s direct-to-consumer service will launch on August 21, and subscribers to the unlimited plan will have access to all WWE Premium Live events as part of their package.Indianapolis hosted the 2025 Royal Rumble, which set an attendance record at the nearby Lucas Oil Stadium. Tickets for the event will go on sale on Friday, August 22nd at 10 a.m. ET. Presale tickets will be available on August 21st. In addition, two other major events this year, including the Crown Jewel on October 11 and the Survivor Series in San Diego on November 29, will also be broadcast on ESPN platforms.On September 20th, WWE and ESPN are joining forces for a can’t-miss event that will mark the beginning of our new partnership.
