John Cena Headlines WWE Premium Event in Indianapolis

The renowned wrestler John Cena will headline a WWE Premium Live Event next month in Indianapolis, which will be broadcast via ESPN’s direct-to-consumer service. Cena will be accompanied by stellar figures such as Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, CM Punk, and Drew McIntyre at WWE’s inaugural Wrestlepalooza, scheduled for Saturday, September 20th. The event will kick off at 7 p.m. ET at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Cody Rhodes, current undisputed WWE champion, Seth Rollins, World Heavyweight Champion, and Becky Lynch, intercontinental women’s champion, will also be part of the event. It will be Cena’s last appearance in Indianapolis as a wrestler. This event marks the beginning of the new five-year agreement between WWE and ESPN, which will bring Premium Live Events to ESPN platforms. ESPN’s direct-to-consumer service launches on Thursday, and subscribers to the unlimited plan will have access to all Premium Live WWE events as part of their package.

“On September 20th, WWE and ESPN are joining forces for a can’t-miss event that will kick off our new partnership,” stated Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE’s Chief Content Officer.

Indianapolis hosted the 2025 Royal Rumble, setting an attendance record for the event at the nearby Lucas Oil Stadium. Tickets for the event will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. ET. Presale tickets will be available Thursday. In addition, two more events will be broadcast this year on ESPN platforms: Crown Jewel on October 11 and Survivor Series in San Diego on November 29.
