John Cena Headlines WWE Premium Event in Indianapolis

The renowned wrestler John Cena will lead a WWE Premium Live Event next month in Indianapolis, which will be broadcast on ESPN’s direct-to-consumer service. Cena will share the ring with figures of the stature of Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, CM Punk and Drew McIntyre at the first WWE Wrestlepalooza, scheduled for Saturday, September 20. The event will begin at 7 p.m. ET at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Rhodes holds the Undisputed WWE Championship, Rollins is the World Heavyweight Champion, and Lynch is the Intercontinental Women’s Champion. This event will mark Cena’s last appearance in Indianapolis as a wrestler. This inaugural event is part of the new five-year agreement between WWE and ESPN, which will bring Premium Live events to ESPN platforms. ESPN’s direct-to-consumer service debut is this Thursday. Subscribers to the unlimited plan will have access to all Premium Live WWE events as part of their package.

Indianapolis hosted the 2025 Royal Rumble, which set an attendance record for the event at the nearby Lucas Oil Stadium. Tickets for the event will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. ET. Presales will be available on Thursday. In addition, two more events will be broadcast on ESPN platforms this year: the Crown Jewel on October 11 and the Survivor Series in San Diego on November 29.
