John Cena to Headline WWE Premium Event in Indianapolis

The renowned wrestler John Cena will lead a WWE Premium Live Event next month in Indianapolis, which will be broadcast through ESPN’s streaming platform. Cena will be accompanied by Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, CM Punk, and Drew McIntyre at WWE’s inaugural event, Wrestlepalooza, scheduled for Saturday, September 20th. The event will begin at 7 p.m. ET at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Rhodes holds the Undisputed WWE Championship, Rollins is the World Heavyweight Champion, and Lynch is the Women’s Intercontinental Champion. This event will also mark Cena’s last appearance in the ring in Indianapolis. This event represents the first in the new five-year agreement between WWE and ESPN, which will bring Premium Live events to ESPN platforms. ESPN’s direct-to-consumer service will premiere on Thursday, and subscribers to the unlimited plan will have access to all WWE Premium Live events as part of their package.

“On September 20th, WWE and ESPN are joining forces for a can’t-miss event that will mark the beginning of our new partnership,” stated Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE’s Chief Content Officer.
