However, thanks to the work of the maintenance team, the field was ready for multiple matches.\n\n<p>An example was the match between the Leones del Escogido and the Estrellas Orientales, held on October 20, which was able to start at 10:18 p.m. thanks to the effort of the staff.<\/p>\n\n<h2>Emotional Moment on the Diamond<\/h2>\n\nJeudy Paula Capell\u00e1n, in charge of field maintenance, threw the ceremonial first pitch, accompanied by his colleagues Oscar Guti\u00e9rrez, Concepci\u00f3n Rosario, Joscar Pineda, Juan Paulino, Marino Parra, Francisco N\u00fa\u00f1ez, Edwin Lara, Jonathan Vera, Daniel Feliciano, Jos\u00e9 Hern\u00e1ndez and Yon Rosario.\n\nThe ceremony was attended by the president of LIDOM, the general manager of the Leones, Carlos Pe\u00f1a, and the legend Wilkin Castillo, who was the catcher of the pitch.\n\nIn addition to public recognition, Paula Capell\u00e1n and her team received financial compensation as a token of appreciation for their contribution to Dominican baseball.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Santo Domingo \u2013 Los Leones del Escogido paid a well-deserved tribute to the maintenance team of the Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium this Tuesday, recognizing their hard work and dedication behind every baseball game.
