The Dominican teams demonstrated their superiority in the +40 and +45 age categories, leaving an indelible mark on the Iv\u00e1n de Bedout Coliseum, venue of the competition in the Colombian city.<\/p>\n
Ra\u00fal Pe\u00f1a (Koby), general manager of both Dominican teams, shared details about the delegation’s success. Carlos Mart\u00ednez managed the +40 years team, while C\u00e9sar Rosario (Papalo) led the +45 years category.<\/p>\n
The Liga Antioque\u00f1a de Baloncesto (LAB) was in charge of organizing the “Amigos de Z\u00fa\u00f1iga 2025” International Maxibasketball Cup during the month of December.<\/p>\n
In the +40 years category final, the League of Stars defeated Puerto Rico with a score of 78-71. Manuel Fortuna (Man\u00e9), Juan Pablo Mont\u00e1s, C\u00e9sar Rosario (Papalo), and Stalin Fern\u00e1ndez were key figures in the Dominican offense.<\/p>\n
Ma\u00f1\u00e9 Fortuna was recognized as the Most Valuable Player of the +40 years category.<\/p>\n
In the +45 years category, the League of the Stars defeated La Hermandad de Panama with a score of 68-62, despite the presence of the outstanding Panamanian player Jaime Lloreda.<\/p>\n
This triumph marked the third championship of the Stars League in the “Amigos de Z\u00fa\u00f1iga” International Maxibasketball Cup.<\/p>\n
Stalin Fern\u00e1ndez, Alberto Ozuna (Cebollita), Edgar Lugo, Carlos Mart\u00ednez, Roberto Carlos and Ricardo Monsac stood out for the Dominican team in the +45 years category.<\/p>\n
