Aguilas Cibae\u00f1as leads the LIDOM Re-Entry Draft with the selection of Cristhian Adames<\/h2>\n\n\nThe \u00c1guilas Cibae\u00f1as, current leaders of the regular season, started the Re-entry Draft of the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM) by selecting Cristhian Adames, infielder from the Tigres del Licey, as their first pick.\n\nLos Toros del Este, for their part, focused their strategy on reinforcing their pitching staff, especially the bullpen, by choosing Jean Carlos Mej\u00eda, also from the Tigres del Licey, in the first round.\n\nThe draft, held at noon, consisted of six rounds and brought together the four semifinalist teams that will compete in the round robin starting next Saturday. The tournament is dedicated to Juan Marichal.\n\nThe Eagles bet on Adames’ experience and batting, while the Toros prioritized strengthening their bullpen. The Gigantes del Cibao chose catcher Francisco Mej\u00eda (Licey), and the Leones del Escogido closed the first round by selecting reliever Patrick Weigl (Estrellas Orientales).\n\nEach team had the opportunity to select six players, with a minimum of three native players.\n\n\n
