The election took place this Saturday during the Electoral Assembly of Clubs, held at the Dominican Sports Museum.\n\nYoung sports leader Edwin Castillo (Tatico) assumed the presidency after defeating Gilberto De la Cruz (Ma\u00f1i\u00f1o) in a 17-13 vote. The electoral process stood out for its transparency and respect for the will of the voters.\n\nThe new Abadina directive will be composed of:\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>H\u00e9ctor Junior Gil, vice president.<\/li>\n<li>Jos\u00e9 -Boy\u00f3n- Dom\u00ednguez, general secretary.<\/li>\n<li>Ra\u00fal Pe\u00f1a (Koby), treasurer.<\/li>\n<li>Alex L\u00f3pez, Organization secretary.<\/li>\n<li>Santo Mar\u00eda, press officer.<\/li>\n<li>Crist\u00f3bal Encarnaci\u00f3n, C\u00e9sar Pilarte and Anthony Fern\u00e1ndez, members.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\nEdwin Castillo, president of the La Ci\u00e9nega club, led the number 1 slate, called &#8220;For the dignity of the clubs&#8221;. Gilberto De la Cruz, president of the Renacer club, headed the number 2 slate, called &#8220;Transparency and equality for all&#8221;.\n\nCastillo and De la Cruz, prominent figures from the La Ci\u00e9nega and Guachupita sectors, respectively, were part of the outgoing Executive Committee (2022-25), chaired by Colonel Diego Pesqueira.\n\nThe Electoral Commission that oversaw the process was chaired by C\u00e9sar P\u00e9rez Samboy, treasurer of the Dominican Basketball Federation (Fedombal).
