SANTO DOMINGO.- The Leones del Escogido celebrated this Friday the official delivery of the championship rings of the 2024-2025 season, commemorating their victory in the Dominican Professional Baseball League (LIDOM), where they obtained their 17th crown. In addition, the team added to its record its fifth Caribbean Series title, held in Mexico.<\/p>\n
The event was led by Eduardo Najri, president of the Escogido Baseball Club, along with other key members of the board, including Fernando Armenteros, Luis Armando Garc\u00eda, Jos\u00e9 Miguel Bonetti, Alfredo Najri, Roberto Bonetti, and Jos\u00e9 Miguel Bonetti Jr.<\/p>\n
One of the highlights of the ceremony was the presentation of the ring to Junior Caminero, third baseman for the Tampa Bay Rays and recognized as the Most Valuable Player of the Final Series. Caminero was the protagonist of a memorable play, the “Caminerazo”, a home run that defined the victory of the Lions in the seventh and decisive game.<\/p>\n
Also receiving their rings were prominent figures such as S\u00f3crates Brito, remembered for his spectacular catch that sealed the victory; Johnny Cueto, Erik Gonz\u00e1lez, Franmil Reyes, Junior Lake and H\u00e9ctor Rodr\u00edguez, among other players who contributed to the team’s success.<\/p>\n
The technical staff and support personnel of the club were also honored, including coaches Tony D\u00edaz, Israel Alc\u00e1ntara, Wilkin Castillo, Charlie Valerio, Ren\u00e9 Rojas, Jorge Mej\u00eda and H\u00e9ctor \u201cLa Manta\u201d De la Cruz, who played a vital role in the victorious season.<\/p>\n
The 2024-2025 Final Series will be remembered for the intense rivalry between the Eternal Rivals, Escogido and Licey, a series that kept fans on the edge of their seats due to the excitement and high level of play.<\/p>\n
