Kimbrel, 37, made his season debut on Friday night. In his performance, he allowed one hit in a scoreless seventh inning during the Braves’ 5-4 loss in 10 innings against San Francisco. In that game, the right-handed pitcher gave up one walk and struck out one batter, throwing a total of 14 pitches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kimbrel began his career in Atlanta in 2010 and was called up from Triple-A Gwinnett before Friday’s game against the Giants. In March, he signed a minor league contract with the Braves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
