Jimmy Cordero: New Stage with the Gigantes del Cibao<\/h2>\n\n\nSanto Domingo.- Pitcher Jimmy Cordero offered his first statements as a member of the Gigantes del Cibao, after being traded by the Leones del Escogido. The change, although unexpected, finds him motivated and grateful.\n\n\n

Really, yes, I didn’t expect to be part of a change. I stayed in the organization for a long time because of how well we got along and the good treatment. But this is a business and any modification always goes towards improving the team.<\/p>Jimmy Cordero<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nCordero highlighted the fluidity of his integration into the team, thanks to the previous relationship with several players and members of the coaching staff.\n\n\n

This has been an exemplary, top-notch welcome. Most of us know each other from the league, we’ve been together before on different teams. It was expected to be him, especially after hearing rumors. I spent a lot of time with them and a text message is not enough. A formal farewell was needed. Emotions are a sense apart. I can’t get carried away by sadness or happiness. I spent a lot of time with them, but I must keep emotions under control because this game depends on that too.
