Nice Players Suffer Assault by Fans After Defeat<\/h2>\n\n\nNice forwards Terem Moffi and J\u00e9r\u00e9mie Boga have been sidelined from the team after allegedly being assaulted by their own fans on Sunday night. This occurred upon their return from a 3-1 defeat against Lorient, according to sources close to the team.\n\nApproximately 400 ultras waited for the players at the club’s training ground in a tense atmosphere after the match. Two supporters boarded the team bus to express their anger before violence erupted as the players disembarked.\n\nMoffi has been put on sick leave for a week and Boga for five days. Both footballers were hit, spat on, kicked, and insulted by the ultras, according to eyewitnesses on Boulevard Jean-Luciano, where the team bus dropped off the players and staff after their return from the airport after the match against Lorient.\n\nThe two players went to the local police on Monday to file charges against the alleged aggressors. The police did not comment on the matter.\n\nThe defeat in Brittany was Nice’s sixth consecutive in all competitions.\n\nMoffi and Boga were the most attacked, with the fans accusing them of having a bad attitude in recent weeks.
