So far, the team has accumulated a total of 22 medals, distributed in two gold, seven silver and 13 bronze, while the sporting event enters its last week.\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Summary of the Day<\/h2>\n\n\nSunday&#8217;s events were marked by outstanding performances in various disciplines, including taekwondo, boxing, rowing, modern pentathlon, and table tennis. In addition, the achievements from Saturday in water skiing and artistic gymnastics were added.\n\n<h2>Taekwondo: Silver and Bronze for DR<\/h2>\n\nDominican taekwondo shone with the medals obtained by Karla Ramos Jesur\u00fan (silver) and Yoan S\u00e1nchez (bronze) in the recognized individual modality, held at the Ayacucho Convention Center.\n\nRamos Jesur\u00fan advanced to the final, where he faced the Peruvian competitor Carmela de la Barra. For his part, S\u00e1nchez managed to secure the bronze after a close competition.\n\nIn mixed pair freestyle, Ramos and S\u00e1nchez finished in sixth position.\n\nWith these two new medals, Dominican taekwondo has a total of five medals so far in the Games.\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Boxing<\/h2>\n\n\nDominican participation in boxing had a complicated day. Yunior Alc\u00e1ntara was eliminated by RSC against the Venezuelan Andr\u00e9s Cova Mendoza. Miguel \u00c1ngel Encarnaci\u00f3n fell by points (0-5) against Jes\u00fas Nazaret Cova Romero, also from Venezuela.\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rowing<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>The Dominican Republic rowing team competed in several events, obtaining the following results:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Ignacio Espinal: Sixth place in LM1X (200 m) with a time of 1:44.28.<\/li><li>Jancarlos Tineo Joaqu\u00edn and Roderlin Rosario Liranzo: Fourth in M2X (200 m) with 1:34.62, advancing to the repechage.<\/li><li>Tineo Joaqu\u00edn: Seventh place in M1X (2:02.29).<\/li><li>The mixed quartet X4X (Galay, V\u00e1squez, Tineo and Sim\u00f3): Fifth position with 1:28.38.<\/li><li>Wendy Sim\u00f3 Pe\u00f1a: Second in W1X, advancing to the repechage (1:53.36).<\/li><li>Galay and Sim\u00f3: Seventh place in W2X (2:02.07).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Modern Pentathlon<\/h2>\n\n\nIn the women&#8217;s fencing test, Cecilia Ferm\u00edn placed second with 178 points, while Ana Arias Mac\u00edas occupies the eighth position with 254 points.\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Table Tennis<\/h2>\n\n\nThe Dominican women&#8217;s team, made up of Eva Brito, Arianna Estrella, Esmerlin Castro and Yasiris Ortiz, began their participation with a 3-1 victory over Peru in the team event.\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Saturday&#8217;s Featured Results<\/h2>\n\n\nPaolo Pigozzi won the gold in overall water skiing, scoring 2216.36 points and narrowly beating Chilean Sergio Barrientos (2216.04).
