The game was suspended on Sunday night after fireworks were repeatedly launched, with the score at 0-0.\n\nAfter the incident, the club issued a statement condemning what happened.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Ajax considers what happened in the stadium scandalous. We offer our apologies to anyone who has been affected. The safety of spectators and players has been compromised, which is unacceptable. We explicitly distance ourselves from this behavior.
