Sources close to the team indicated that the injury is considered &#8220;week-to-week&#8221;.\n\nAfter receiving a second medical opinion on Sunday, it was determined that the injury is not long-lasting, suggesting it might not affect their participation in the February Olympics.\n\nHowever, upon being placed on the long-term injured list, Fox will be out of action for a minimum of 10 games and 24 days.\n\nFox suffered the injury on Saturday during the 4-1 defeat against the Tampa Bay Lightning, after a collision against the boards caused by Brandon Hagel.\n\nThe 27-year-old player seemed to be feeling discomfort in his left arm as he headed to the locker room and did not return to the match.\n\n\n<p>So far, Fox has accumulated three goals and 23 assists in 27 games, tying Artemi Panarin for the team lead in points (26) this season.<\/p>\n\n\nAlthough the news about the injury is not as serious as initially feared, it represents a challenge for the Rangers (13-12-2), who are outside the playoff positions and will now have to do without their star defense until, at least, around Christmas.\n\nOlympic teams must submit their lists by December 31.
