This achievement comes for the first time in 20 months, following his unanimous decision victory over Brian Norman Jr. last Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he was crowned WBO welterweight champion.\n\nFollowing the majority decision defeat against Ryan Garcia in April 2024, a result that was later overturned due to Garcia’s positive test for a banned substance, Haney had fallen out of the top ten. Despite having been knocked down three times in that fight, Haney had not managed to re-enter the list until now.\n\n\n
