This victory was crucial for Tsarukyan, who had not competed in the octagon for more than a year and a half, and needed to regain his position in the division’s rankings.\n\nTsarukyan’s inactivity had left him out of the rankings, but his outstanding performance allowed him to rise to second place among the 155-pound fighters.\n\nThe only other significant change in these rankings occurred in the welterweight division, where Ian Machado Garry’s victory over Belal Muhammad generated a reshuffle in the rankings. Machado Garry advanced from fifth to fourth place, while Muhammad dropped three positions, landing in sixth place.\n\n\n
