The fight will take place in London on January 31st, against a potential opponent within the top 15 of the super-lightweight category, as confirmed by promoter Ben Shalom.\n\nAlthough the agreement has not yet been finalized, Boxxer is close to securing an opponent for what will be Azim&#8217;s first fight on BBC.\n\nAzim (14-0, 11 KOs) defeated American Kurt Scoby on the undercard of Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Conor Benn II earlier this month, with a dominant performance where he won every round and finished with a knockout in the twelfth round.\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>We want someone who truly believes they can win. But there aren&#8217;t many people willing to take a risk.<\/p><cite>Shane McGuigan<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\nAfter the fight, his coach, Shane McGuigan, commented that finding opponents for Azim would be difficult, as few would be willing to face the 23-year-old young star.\n\nShalom, for his part, assured that they are on their way to fight again in the new year.\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>It&#8217;s going to be the star on BBC Two at the end of January, which is huge for him.<\/p><cite>Ben Shalom<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\nShalom added that Azim&#8217;s performance against Kurt Scoby was excellent and that he believes it captured the attention of the American audience.\n\nAzim is currently ranked number 9 in the WBC super lightweight rankings.
