The fight broke out in the venue area, just before the main card of the November 15th event.\n\nMayor Adams shared images of the altercation, underscoring the seriousness of the situation.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n\n<p>\u201cThese assaults at Madison Square Garden are completely unacceptable. The New York Police Department is already conducting a thorough investigation, and all those responsible will be held accountable.\u201d<\/p>\n\n<cite>Eric Adams<\/cite>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\nIn the press conference after the event, UFC CEO Dana White announced the permanent ban of Danis from future UFC events. Danis has a history of public altercations and had posted offensive comments and photos, some of them false, about Makhachev in the days leading up to the event.\n\nSeveral videos showed the participation of Makhachev&#8217;s teammates, Magomed &#8216;Chanco&#8217; Zaynukov and Abubakar Nurmagomedov, in the incident, including blows to Danis&#8217;s head. Danis was escorted out of the venue by security, while Makhachev&#8217;s teammates were removed and watched their teammate&#8217;s performance from another location.
