New York Knicks guard Landry Shamet will be re-evaluated in four weeks due to a right shoulder sprain, sources report.<\/p>\n
Shamet suffered the injury during the first quarter of Saturday’s game against the Magic, after colliding with a hard screen from Wendell Carter Jr. The player left the court in obvious pain and did not return to the game.<\/p>\n
Sources close to the team indicate that Shamet has already begun the rehabilitation process to recover from his shoulder injury.<\/p>\n
Shamet has stood out as one of the best three-point shooters in the league this season, averaging 42.4% from the three-point line, which earned him a place in the starting lineup before the injury. Before the shoulder problem, he had had his best five-game stretch of the season, scoring in double figures in four consecutive games, including a 36-point performance in the 140-132 victory over Miami.<\/p>\n
The double-digit streak was interrupted when he scored nine points in 23 minutes in the victory against Dallas last Wednesday.<\/p>\n
