The opportunity to play with Josh Allen is something that cannot be refused.<\/p>Brandin Cooks<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\nCooks, who signed with the Bills on Tuesday, has shared the field with some of the league’s best quarterbacks throughout his 12-year career, including Drew Brees and Tom Brady. The player did not hold back praise for his new teammate.\n\n

Allen is a special player. You only hear about this organization as a special place and how they treat players, and it’s all about football. I’m grateful to be here.<\/p>Brandin Cooks<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\nCooks, 32, participated in his first practice with the Bills on Wednesday, preparing for the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Previously, he played the first 10 games of the season with the New Orleans Saints, his second stint with the team that drafted him in 2014.\n\nThe Saints initially announced his release last week, following Cooks’ request. However, the official release was delayed until Saturday due to contractual issues that needed to be resolved. Cooks expressed gratitude towards the Saints, highlighting the support received during the process.\n\n

I have nothing bad to say about them. The Saints organization was absolutely incredible in this process. They cared about me and tried to help me make that decision.<\/p>Brandin Cooks<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\nIn the current season, Cooks has 19 receptions for 165 yards. Currently, he uses number 18 with the Bills, the same as receiver Elijah Moore used before being released by the team.\n\nThe Bills’ offense has struggled to find consistency and establish a deep passing game. The addition of Cooks is an attempt to improve the team’s offense.\n\nJosh Allen praised Cooks’ quick adaptation to the team.\n\nBasically, he’s already learned our playbook. He has an extremely high football IQ. He’s been in the league a long time. The way he carries himself, the way he is in meetings, it’s already very evident that he’s a true professional. He went out and practiced the way he did, it says a lot about who he is as a person and as a player.\n\nAllen briefly worked with Cooks and receiver Keon Coleman after practice.\n\nCoach Sean McDermott also expressed his respect for Cooks.\n\n

I have always respected his game. He has good speed, knows how to play in his position. It’s a combination of both.
