New York Knicks guard Landry Shamet will be reevaluated in four weeks due to a sprain in his right shoulder.<\/p>\n
Shamet suffered the injury during the first quarter of last Saturday’s game against the Orlando Magic, after a collision with a screen from Wendell Carter Jr. The player left the court in obvious pain and did not return to the game.<\/p>\n
Shamet has already begun the rehabilitation process for his injured shoulder.<\/p>\n
The player has been one of the best three-point shooters in the league so far this season, averaging 42.4% from the three-point line. This earned him a spot in the Knicks’ starting lineup before the injury. Before the shoulder problem, he had his best five-game stretch with the Knicks this season, scoring in double figures in four consecutive games, including a 36-point performance in the 140-132 victory over Miami.<\/p>\n
The double-digit streak was broken with nine points in 23 minutes in the victory against Dallas last Wednesday.<\/p>\n
