After the fight, the boxer stated that he had gone through difficulties during his preparation, although he did not specify the cause.\n\nBoth pugilists had to comply with a 10-pound rehydration clause on fight day, which meant they couldn&#8217;t weigh more than 170 pounds in the morning. Although Eubank Jr. has competed in the middleweight category (160 pounds) in the past, he made it clear that he doesn&#8217;t consider that his ideal weight.\n\nAlthough the 36-year-old boxer did not comment on his future in boxing, Shalom stated that Eubank Jr. will seek to return to the ring sometime next year.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>He&#8217;s okay, he&#8217;s recovering. Obviously he&#8217;s devastated, but anyone can see that wasn&#8217;t Chris Eubank Jr. in the ring,&#8221; Shalom commented.<\/p><cite>Ben Shalom<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nShalom added that if the rehydration clause had not existed and Eubank Jr. regains his physical form, the trilogy with Benn could be an option.\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/a1.espncdn.com\/combiner\/i?img=%2Fphoto%2F2025%2F1125%2Fr1580469_1296x729_16%2D9.jpg\" alt=\"Chris Eubank Jr. dijo que quer\u00eda continuar boxeando despu\u00e9s de su derrota ante Conor Benn.\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n\nBenn has insisted that the rivalry is over and wishes to compete in the welterweight category (147 pounds) and aspire to world titles.\n\nIf the third fight doesn&#8217;t happen, Shalom indicated that there are several options for Eubank Jr., but they won&#8217;t rush until the boxer is ready.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>There are many names available, but first you must be in shape and healthy,&#8221; Shalom affirmed.<\/p><cite>Ben Shalom<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nThe promoter also added: &#8220;Instead of challenging other boxers now, once he is physically 100%, we can make that decision.
