Before the race in Las Vegas, Norris led Piastri by 30 points and Verstappen by 42. Now, the difference has narrowed to 24 points over both, with two races remaining.\n\nDespite the double disqualification benefiting Verstappen, ironically it also helped Piastri, who had lost ground after finishing in fourth place in Nevada.\n\n\n<p>The championship positions are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Norris &#8211; 390 points<\/li><li>Piastri &#8211; 366 points<\/li><li>Verstappen &#8211; 366 points<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\nA key factor is that Piastri is currently ahead of Verstappen in the standings, as he has seven wins compared to Verstappen&#8217;s six. Although Las Vegas ended in disqualification, Norris achieved pole position in difficult conditions and obtained a solid second place.\n\nVerstappen has also performed remarkably since the summer break, with four victories in the eight subsequent races. In those races, he also reached the podium in the four he didn&#8217;t win.\n\nVerstappen&#8217;s performance is due to several factors, including Red Bull&#8217;s improvements at the Italian Grand Prix.
