Lewis Hamilton calls the 2025 season the worst of his Formula 1 career<\/h2>\n\nBritish driver Lewis Hamilton, after a remarkable comeback in the Las Vegas Grand Prix, where he started from the last position on the grid and finished in the top ten, described the 2025 season as the worst of his career in Formula 1.\n\nAlthough Hamilton crossed the finish line in tenth position, he moved up to eighth place after the disqualification of McLaren drivers, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.\n\nHamilton’s initial season with Ferrari, marked by disappointment, continued in Las Vegas, where the seven-time world champion qualified last on his own merit for the first time in his illustrious career.\n\n“Terrible,” was Hamilton’s assessment of his performance for Sky Sports F1. “It’s been the worst season of all. No matter how hard I try, it keeps getting worse.” Lewis Hamilton\n\nWhen asked about what he was trying to do to change the situation, he replied: “Trying everything, inside and outside the car.”\n\n\n

He is currently in sixth place in the championship, although in his last year with Mercedes he finished seventh, but managed two victories in 2024. This year could be his third season without victories in four years; before that, he had achieved at least one victory for 15 consecutive seasons, since his debut in 2007.\n\nHamilton’s move to Ferrari was the central theme of the 2025 pre-season, but expectations quickly faded as they failed to compete at the front of the grid. Hamilton secured pole position and victory in the sprint race in China earlier in the year, but has not achieved a pole position or podium finish in a grand prix this year.\n\n\n

After the television interview and before the confirmation of McLaren’s disqualification, he was asked if he felt any satisfaction for scoring a point. “Zero”, he replied. “I gained 10 positions, but it doesn’t mean anything.
