On Saturday, David Benavidez demonstrated his supremacy in the ring by defeating Anthony Yarde, retaining his WBC and WBA “regular” super middleweight titles. Following his victory, Benavidez announced his intention to challenge Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez, WBO and WBA cruiserweight champion, in May.<\/p>\n\n\nBenavidez (31-0, 25 KOs) managed to knock down Yarde (27-4, 24 KOs) in the seventh round, ending the fight with a series of punches that forced the referee to stop the fight at minute 1:59. The fight took place at the ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.\n\nThe fight was dominated by Benavidez, who landed effective combinations to Yarde’s body and head, sealing a TKO victory.\n\n\n
