Maton, 32, had a standout season in 2025 playing for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Texas Rangers, where he achieved an ERA of 2.79 in 63 games. Originally from Illinois, the pitcher has a career ERA of 3.98 in his nine seasons in the Major Leagues.<\/p>\n
His MLB career began in 2017 with the San Diego Padres, and since then he has played for seven different teams, demonstrating his versatility and adaptability.<\/p>\n
Maton’s pitching repertoire includes cutter and curve, which he uses equally, as well as a sweeper and sinker. Last season, he accumulated 81 strikeouts in 61.1 innings.<\/p>\n
