The game-winning home run ball by Will Smith<\/a> reached $168,000; both prices include the buyer’s premium.\n\nShohei Ohtani’s home run in Game 4 of the 2025 National League Championship Series, which went out of Dodger Stadium, sold for $270,000, also including the premium.\n\nIn the same auction, a bat used by Ohtani during his 50\/50 MVP season in 2024, with photographic matching of five home runs in a 12-game streak between late August and early September by PSA Photo Match, sold for $300,000, including the premium.\n\nAfter years of being underestimated in the collectibles world, Ohtani is finally having his moment.\n\nThe first sale of an Ohtani card for a million dollars occurred in March, when a collector paid $1.067 million for a one-of-one numbered card, autographed on the card and with the MLB logo from Ohtani’s pants worn while hitting his 49th, 50th, and 51st home runs of the 2024 season. A collector paid $542,900 for another numbered and signed Ohtani card, also one-of-one, earlier this month.\n\nThe property of Ohtani’s 50\/50 home run ball, which the Taiwanese investment firm UC Capital turned into the most expensive baseball of all time with $4.39 million last October, is still in litigation, including a name correction for one of the original claimants, in the Florida 11th Judicial Circuit Court, with a hearing scheduled for January 13th.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Dodgers Merchandise Reaches Million-Dollar Figures at Auction A quartet of articles related to the Los Angeles Dodgers reached a figure close to $900,000 in an auction by SCP Auctions, based in California, over the weekend.
