You want to make sure everyone is okay, it&#8217;s pretty scary. At the end of the first period, I thought I might make it home in time, maybe. Obviously, that didn&#8217;t happen.<\/p><cite>Dylan Strome<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nThe little one, named Sutton Kimberley, came into the world while Strome was on the ice. His wife, Tayler, felt the first signs two hours before the start of the game.\n\nStrome highlighted the importance of the sacrifices his wife makes, especially due to the time he spends away from home because of his career.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>I am very proud of her. It&#8217;s difficult, and obviously you want to be present for the birth of your children and you didn&#8217;t know this was going to happen so soon, but I can&#8217;t wait to go see her&#8230; It&#8217;s something I think I&#8217;ll never experience again, hopefully no one does, feeling helpless.<\/p><cite>Dylan Strome<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nDespite the situation, Strome played a crucial role in the Capitals&#8217; 8-4 victory, assisting on three goals.\n\nStrome won a face-off to set up Alex Ovechkin&#8217;s opening goal and then assisted the captain on a 2-on-1 to make the score 6-4.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>From the first shift, I think Stromer was feeling it.
