According to executive vice president Stephen Jones, Pickens missed the team bus on Monday, which resulted in him being benched.\n\nIn addition to Pickens, CeeDee Lamb was also benched for the first series of the game. The decision was made by coach Brian Schottenheimer, who justified the measure for disciplinary reasons.\n\nLamb revealed to the media that both he and Pickens were punished for not respecting the team&#8217;s curfew at 10 p.m. on Sunday, after dining and having drinks at the Red Rock Casino.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>He will not play favorites with anyone.<\/p><cite>Stephen Jones<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nFollowing the Cowboys&#8217; 33-16 victory, Schottenheimer indicated that the players were informed of the disciplinary action before the game, but did not offer specific details.\n\nStephen Jones explained that the decision was based on the players&#8217; behavior. &#8220;I think a lot of people thought they had to be together because they are great friends, but, believe it or not, one was from the night before and the other missed the buses,&#8221; Jones stated.\n\nThe owner and general manager Jerry Jones, in a separate interview, expressed his disapproval of players&#8217; late nights before games.\n\nYes, I have them.
