During the intermission of the first period, Strome received the news of the birth of his third daughter.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>There were a lot of emotions going through my mind.<\/p><cite>Dylan Strome<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nStrome, visibly emotional, assisted on three goals in the Capitals&#8217; 8-4 victory. The little girl, named Sutton Kimberley, came into the world at 7:30 p.m., two hours after the start of the game.\n\nThe player expressed his pride in his wife, Tayler, highlighting the sacrifices she makes while he is away from home.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>I am very proud of her. It&#8217;s hard, and obviously you want to be there for the birth of your children.<\/p><cite>Dylan Strome<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nStrome also mentioned the feeling of helplessness he experienced at not being able to be present at the birth and the need for support for his wife, who was already taking care of their other two daughters.\n\nIn the game, Strome contributed to his team&#8217;s play, winning a face-off to set up Alex Ovechkin&#8217;s opening goal and assisting the captain in a 2-on-1 to make the score 6-4.\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>From the first shift, I think Stromer was feeling it.
