Dallas Mavericks rookie Cooper Flagg was unable to participate in Wednesday’s game against the New York Knicks due to an illness, according to coach Jason Kidd.<\/p>\n
The Mavericks suffered a home defeat by 113-111.<\/p>\n
Flagg, who was the first pick of the 2025 draft, joined the injured report on Wednesday morning, along with forward Caleb Martin, and did not participate in the team’s training.<\/p>\n
Despite the discomfort in his left shoulder and a sprain in his right thumb that has forced him to wear a splint recently, Flagg had been a starter in all the games for the Mavericks, who have a 4-11 record.<\/p>\n
