Jannik Sinner Wins Against Carlos Alcaraz in the ATP Finals Final<\/h2>\n\nIn an epic showdown that marked the end of the “Sincaraz” rivalry for 2025, Jannik Sinner triumphed over Carlos Alcaraz in the final of the ATP Finals. The match, which took place on Sunday, culminated with a score of 7-6 (4), 7-5, solidifying Sinner as the champion.\n\nThis was the sixth match of the year between the two tennis players who dominate men’s tennis, all of them in finals. Sinner, defending the title before his Italian audience, achieved his second victory over Alcaraz this year, after also defeating him in the Wimbledon final.\n\n\n

Finishing it this way, in front of my Italian fans, is very special for me.<\/p>Jannik Sinner<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nDespite the defeat, Alcaraz had already secured the number 1 spot at the end of the year and was playing his first final in this tournament that brings together the eight best players of the year. Alcaraz still leads the head-to-head record with Sinner, with a score of 10-6.\n\n\n

I am very happy with the level I played today, with the performance. I played against someone who hasn’t lost a match on an indoor court for two years. I hope they are ready for next year because I will be. Hopefully, we will play more finals against you.<\/p>Carlos Alcaraz<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nSinner added that he hopes they have “great, great battles ahead”.\n\nThis year, the pair has faced each other in three Grand Slam finals. Alcaraz defeated Sinner at the French Open, Sinner took revenge at Wimbledon, and Alcaraz prevailed again at the US Open.\n\nThey also faced each other in the final of the Italian Open, won by Alcaraz, and in the final of the Cincinnati Open, won by Alcaraz when Sinner withdrew due to illness.\n\nSinner also won the Australian Open, defeating Alexander Zverev in the final, so both he and Alcaraz won two Grand Slam tournaments this year.\n\nIn total, Alcaraz has won six Grand Slam tournaments and Sinner has won four.\n\nSinner saved a set point with a powerful second serve that Alcaraz couldn’t return. Sinner took control of the tiebreak after running towards a drop shot and responding with a lob that led to a smash.\n\n\n

Sinner broke Alcaraz’s serve again to close out the match, when the Spaniard missed a backhand and then fell to the ground on his back in a sign of relief.\n\n\n

It was a huge emotion.<\/p>Jannik Sinner<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nAlcaraz led in winners by 28-25, but also committed more unforced errors, 26-24.\n\nSinner stated that he wanted to improve his serve after the defeat against Alcaraz at the US Open, and led in aces by 8-5, but also committed five double faults, to Alcaraz’s none.\n\nThis was Sinner’s tenth consecutive victory in the finals, going back to his defeat against Novak Djokovic in the 2023 final.
