The news was confirmed on Wednesday by the Rhode Island-based institution.\n\nFederer, winner of 20 Grand Slam singles titles, was part of a golden era of tennis, alongside rivals such as Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic. He was the only candidate in the players category who received the necessary support for the Hall of Fame Class of 2026.\n\nJournalist and television commentator Mary Carillo, also a former player, was elected in the contributors category.
